Rangers striker Nacho Novo's proposed transfer Coventry City has fallen through on transfer deadline day.
Nacho Novo is out of favour with Paul Le Guen
The 27-year-old looked to be on his way to the Coca-Cola Championship outfit after Rangers confirmed both clubs had agreed a fee, reported to be £500,000.
But a statement from Coventry said: "Coventry City can confirm that they will not be signing Nacho Novo.
"It had been reported that the Spanish player had put pen to paper on a deal here, but this is not the case."
Coventry appear to have pulled out of the deal at the last moment after signing Leon McKenzie for £1m from Norwich City.
Novo arrived in Scotland with Raith Rovers before moving to Dundee.
He netted 25 goals in his debut season at Ibrox but spent much of last term on the fringes of the top team and has barely featured under new boss Paul Le Guen.
Le Guen told the Spanish forward he was free to find a new club and Coventry emerged as the favourites for his signature.
