Rangers have completed the signing of teenage midfielder Dany N'Guessan from French club Auxerre.
Alex McLeish was impressed with the player on trial
The 17-year-old impressed the Scottish champions' manager, Alex McLeish, while on trial last season and he has now signed a two-year deal.
N'Guessan told the club's website he felt privileged to be joining "one of the biggest clubs in Europe".
"I have seen a lot of the club on TV and know there are some big stars here such as Dado Prso," he added.
"It is going to be a great experience for me and I am looking forward to getting started.
"Hopefully, I can do very well here and my ambition is to get in to the first-team. I know players such as Hamed Namouchi who also came from France and has done very well, so I hope I can do the same.
"I am an offensive midfield player who likes to score goals and push forward but I can adapt and play in several positions.
"But wherever I play, I will do my best and I am looking forward to playing my first game for Rangers.
"I was at Auxerre for several years but decided it was time to leave, so I am very happy to be in Scotland because Rangers are a massive club."
Rangers head of youth development George Adams told the club's website N'Guessan has "all the attributes" to succeed at the club.
"He is tall but very quick and clever with the ball at his feet," he said.
"He can also score a few goals from midfield so it is understandable that several clubs from France and England were interested in him.
"He was recommended to us through our contacts in France and we moved quickly to get him over to Scotland for a trial.
"This gave us the opportunity to watch him in training and he was also put through his paces by Alex McLeish and the first-team squad.
"The manager liked what he saw and, like John Brown, Ian Durrant, Davie Kirkwood and myself, felt that Dany could have a big future at Rangers.
"He will start by playing in the reserves but we would hope he would make quick progress and that he can push his way in to the first-team set-up in the near future."
The previous week, N'Guessan's agent Emmanuel Maboang said: "Dany was wanted by Bordeaux and Valencia, but he wanted to come to Rangers because they are a great club."
