Queen's Park have signed Robert Walker after the central defender left Albion Rovers at the end of last season.
The 27-year-old impressed for the Spiders in a 2-1 pre-season friendly defeat by Partick Thistle this week.
Also playing was 27-year-old Fergus Tiernan, who has been persuaded to come out of early retirement for pre-season.
Tiernan, previously of Aberdeen, Ross County and Dumbarton, gave up professional football when he became a fireman last year.
Walker becomes the Spiders' third new signing of the season following the captures of striker Michael Daly from Kilsyth Rangers and midfielder Chris Hamilton from Stirling Albion.
