Well's Nixon makes Queens move
David Nixon in action for Motherwell reserves
David Nixon has yet to make his first-team debut at Fir Park
Queen of the South have completed the signing of Motherwell defender David Nixon on loan.

The 19-year-old joins the First Division outfit until January and could make his debut against St Johnstone.

Queens manager Gordon Chisholm told his club website: "I've seen him play before and he impressed me.

"He can play either centre-back or left-back and, with so many injuries just now, it will give us some extra cover at the back."

Nixon has yet to make a first-team appearance for Scottish Premier League outfit Motherwell.

Meanwhile, Chisholm reported that 21-year-old defender Mark Whorlow, who had come through the club's youth ranks but was recently told he could find a new club, has now left Palmerston Park.
