Rowan Vine in talks to end stay at QPR

Rowan Vine is discussing a financial settlement with QPR after being told he has no future at the Championship club.

The 27-year-old forward, who was signed from Birmingham for £1m in 2008, has struggled to regain his best form since returning from a broken leg last year.

"I'll treat him with the respect he's due," said Rangers boss Neil Warnock.

"He's a good player and a good pro but I like to be straight with people and I can't see him playing many games for us this season."

Meanwhile, Italian striker Allesandro Pellicori is having talks with a number of clubs after also being told he is not in Warnock's plans.

Pellicori, 29, was signed on a three-year contract from Avellino a year ago but was made available in January after failing to impress.

And Warnock, who took over as QPR boss in March, believes the player is close to moving on.

Vine's expected exit from Loftus Road comes after he was left out of the first-team squad for Rangers' pre-season matches.

After establishing himself as a fans' favourite, the former Portsmouth and Luton man suffered a double leg fracture in training and spent a year on the sidelines.

His return was much anticipated but he quickly fell out of favour and is now set to relaunch his career elsewhere.

"I'll not be having him train with the youth team or anything like that. He's better than that and deserves to be treated properly," added Warnock.
