Queens Park Rangers boss Ian Holloway has been fined £1,500 by a Football Association disciplinary panel.
The fine was imposed for using "abusive and/or insulting words to a match official" after the 3-0 Carling Cup defeat at Northampton in September.
Holloway was also severely reprimanded and warned about his future conduct at the hearing on Thursday.
QPR were reduced to 10-men in the clash at Sixfield after Ian Evatt was sent off in first-half injury time.
