Shittu boost for QPR
QPR defender Danny Shittu is set to make an earlier than expected return to action after recovering well from the knee injury he sustained last January.

"I'm just trying to make sure everything is right," he told the club's website.

"The last thing I want to do is to come back and then have another six onths off because I've done something wrong.

"My aim now is to just get out there and do the work, and if it feels good then keep working."

He added: "I've been in for most of the summer. I only had 10 days off to go away, and I must say it's great having the boys back around.

"I've been joining in with their training a few times, and I've been doing a bit of running. It's been great to have people around again.

"All the lads are really surprised at how well I am doing. I've been on a few long runs with them, and the knee feel fine."
