Holloway repentant at outburst
Holloway admitted he lost his cool at Cardiff
QPR manager Ian Holloway apologised for his outburst and subsequent sending off during the 1-1 draw at Cardiff on Tuesday.
Holloway received his marching orders from the touchline when he blew his top over the red card handed to QPR goalscorer Richard Pacquette by referee George Cain. Holloway was also furious at Cain's handling of the match but he admitted afterwards he was wrong to let his emotions boil over. "I apologise for my behaviour," Holloway told the Western Mail. "I lost my cool and shouldn't do that, but I was totally incensed by the referee's decision. "I was ashamed of my own behaviour. My passion spilled over and I've got to look at that because I want to lead in the right way. "When you come to a place like Ninian Park, where the fans get behind their team, you need the referee to be strong, and I don't think he was in the second half. "I wish we had a few thousand more fans like Cardiff's at QPR - they are passionate and that's what football is all about." |
