Winkleman confirms QPR bid

Music promoter Pete Winkleman, the man behind sttempts to bring professional football to Milton Keynes, has confirmed he has made a bid to buy Queen's Park Rangers.

Winkleman has already held talks with Wimbledon about a move to a proposed new stadium in Milton Keynes.

But he has shelved that venture and has now set his sights on QPR.

The West London club were relegated from the First Division last season.
