Francis in Rangers vow
Gerry Francis
Francis is prepared to leave QPR
Gerry Francis says he will quit QPR if the First Division club decide there is a better man for the job.

Francis revealed that he was not worried about his future despite angry protests from fans aimed at chairman Chris Wright following the defeat by Fulham.

"I'm not someone who needs to work and I wouldn't have come back for any other club, my reputation doesn't worry me," said the Rangers manager.

"Chris Wright has always said he is prepared to step aside if someone comes in with money and I will do the same."

We created a lot of chances in the second half and it would have been nice to have got one and really seen what Fulham were made of
  Gerry Francis

Rangers were beaten 2-0 by London rivals Fulham at Loftus Road and remain just one place off the foot of Division One.

But Francis said: "I told the boys to hold their heads up because I think they gave everything against the best side in the division.

"We created a lot of chances in the second half and it would have been nice to have got one and really seen what Fulham were made of."

Francis may have another headache before Saturday's clash with second-placed Bolton Wanderers after Clarke Carlisle and Richard Langley both suffered injuries against Fulham.

"Carlisle got a big bang underneath his knee while Langley's was right on the knee," he said.

"They will both have scans and we'll see how bad they are, it certainly doesn't help, but we have another massive game on Saturday and we have to keep battling."

We had a great first half to the season and we want to match it in the second half
  Kit Symons

Fulham defender Kit Symons pointed out the importance of bouncing back from Saturday's defeat against Birmingham City.

"It was very important for us to win," he said. "If we had lost two games on the trot it would have given our rivals a real lift, so hopefully now they will be thinking that they are only playing for second place.

"The promotion race is definitely not over yet and the manager won't tolerate any complacency. We had a great first half to the season and we want to match it in the second half."
