Preston have signed Hull City central defender Wayne Brown on an initial one-month loan deal.
The 31-year-old will go straight in to the North End squad for Tuesday's match against Watford at Deepdale.
Brown becomes the third defender signed on loan by Preston boss Alan Irvine this season following Eddie Nolan from Blackburn and Jay McEveley from Derby.
He joined Hull in 2007 from Colchester for £450,000 and has made 42 league appearances for the Tigers.
