Preston reject Horton rumour
Preston North End have repeated their stance that they will appoint a new manager at the end of the season.

Reports in Stoke had suggested Port Vale manager Brian Horton had emerged as a front runner - but chairman Derek Shaw said that no decision will be made until the season's conclusion.

"We're just concentrating on this weekend's big game at Crystal Palace and then the one at home to Nottingham Forest," said Shaw.

"We've already gone on record to say that we won't be making any decisions until the end of the season."

Shaw has previously said that he would like it if Kelham O'Hanlon - the current caretaker - proved to be the man for the job.
