O'Hara has been one of Pompey's better players in a poor season
Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp says Portsmouth want to extend midfielder Jamie O'Hara's loan for the rest of the season to help their survival fight.
The 23-year-old signed a new deal at Spurs in August before being loaned out until January and has been one of the better players in Pompey's poor season.
"I spoke to Avram (Grant) and he said he'd like to keep him," said Redknapp.
"I said let's see what happens between now and January. He's due to come back then but there's an option to stay."
O'Hara is also thought to be keen to stay at Fratton Park, although the decision on whether or not he will stay is Tottenham's to make.
Since moving to Portsmouth, he has scored one goal in nine appearances for the team who are currently bottom of the Premier League table, with just seven points from 14 games.
