Primus set for Portsmouth

Linvoy Primus in action for Reading against Man City
Ex-Reading defender Linvoy Primus is on the verge of signing for Portsmouth following a successful trial.

The player has been in good form during Pompey's three pre-season friendlies and is available on a free transfer after refusing to sign a new deal for Reading.

Pulis is keen to snap up the defender in favour of other target Andy Myers - who would cost 500,000.

"He has trained well, and his attitude has been terrific. Now we've got to sit down and see if he can improve the squad," said Portsmouth boss Tony Pulis.
