Redknapp is targeting Spurs defender Youness Kaboul
Portsmouth manager Harry Redknapp said he expects Jermain Defoe and Peter Crouch to be a successful partnership.
The strikers have trained and played together during a week-long pre-season tour in Nigeria and South Africa.
Redknapp told BBC Radio Solent: "I'm sure they will do well together, they are an ideal pairing really so I am looking forward to having them playing.
"In other positions I think we look a bit under-strength in all honesty but up front we look good."
Crouch signed for Pompey from Liverpool for £11m earlier this month and made his first appearance alongside his England colleague in a pre-season friendly against Bournemouth.
