Primus relief at Pompey support

Portsmouth defender Linvoy Primus
Primus relieved with new one-year deal

Pompey defender Linvoy Primus hopes to put his injury nightmare behind him after signing a new one-year deal.

The 34-year-old has missed the whole of this season after undergoing major knee surgery a year ago.

Primus told BBC Radio Solent; "It's been a difficult year watching the guys being successful. I thank God the club are standing by me."

Primus is confident of a return in pre-season after undergoing a second operation last November.
