Former Portsmouth manager Jim Smith has backed his old club to beat West Brom and reach their first FA Cup final since 1939.

Smith took Pompey to within three minutes of a Wembley final back in 1992, before his team lost a semi-final replay to Liverpool on penalties.

He told BBC Radio Solent: "I'm pretty sure Pompey will make amends this time and get through to the final."

Over 33,000 Pompey fans will travel to Wembley for Saturday's semi-final.
