The 27-year-old was scheduled to join up with the Zimbabwe squad on Tuesday for the African Cup of Nations, which begins in Egypt on Friday.
But a Pompey official confirmed the club's record signing will now fly out after the game at St Andrews.
Pompey have already lost striker Lomana LuaLua to the African Cup of Nations.
