Portsmouth have completed the signings of Greek international duos Kostas Chalkias and Giannis Skopelitis.
Goalkeeper Chalkias, 30, was number two during Greece's successful Euro 2004 campaign and signed for a nominal fee after completing a medical.
And midfielder Skopelitis, 26, is joining for £1m from Egaleo to replace Amdy Faye, who has joined Newcastle.
Both players have been registered in time to be available for Saturday's FA Cup tie with Southampton.
However, the signing of Russian striker Dmitri Bulykin has been delayed by paperwork and he will not be available for the game at St Mary's Stadium.
Chalkias, who is 6ft 5in, comes from Panathinaikos, the former club of Pompey manager Velimir Zajec.
"Konstantinos is a giant of a goalkeeper regarded as one of the top keepers in Greek football," said Portsmouth chairman Milan Mandaric.
"Skopelitis is a solid defensive midfield man who fills the hole left by Amdy Faye very nicely." And Mandaric is also considering signing more players before the end of the transfer window.
"We may not have finished yet and are still looking to possibly bring in two more players with one of them an offensive midfield man," he added.
