Portsmouth have made Newcastle defender Andy Griffin their first signing of the close season.
Injuries kept Griffin sidelined for most of last season
The 25-year-old full-back has signed a four-year contract at Fratton Park after joining from the Magpies on a Bosman free transfer.
Griffin joined Newcastle from Stoke in 1998 for £1.5m but a series of injuries restricted him to only 97 appearances.
He played only eight times last season and was sidelined from October until the final game of the season.
