Pompey win Prosinecki appeal
Prosinecki: Could make his debut on Saturday
Portsmouth have secured a work permit for Croatian international Robert Prosinecki on appeal.
Pompey were initially refused a permit for the player because he had not played in 75% of his country's matches over the past two years. But the appeals panel decided in the club's favour after hearing representations from Harry Redknapp and chairman Milan Mandaric in Manchester on Monday. Prosinecki could now make his debut in Saturday's home game with Bradford City. He is currently with the Croatia squad preparing to face the Republic of Ireland on Wednesday night. Portsmouth's director of football Harry Redknapp told www.pompeyfc.co.uk: "I was always quietly confident but you never know with things like this until the fat lady sings. "Thankfully she sung today and we now have a world-quality player."
