Port Vale full-back Kris Taylor says he wants to stay at the club when his current deal expires in the summer.

The 27-year-old signed a 12-month contract in July when Micky Adams was in charge, but has made only nine starts this season.

Taylor made his first start under Jim Gannon in Tuesday's draw with Barnet.

He told BBC Radio Stoke: "When a new manager comes in, we all start on a clean slate. It's up to us to show him we want to stay here."

The former Hereford, Burton and Walsall defender has made over 60 appearances for the Valiants, since signing on a free transfer in 2009.
