Sinnott hopes to avoid departures

Port Vale manager Lee Sinnott has said he hopes to avoid selling any players before Monday's transfer deadline.

Sinnott has brought eight new faces into Vale Park over the summer but the Valiants' financial situation means any offers for players would be considered.

He told BBC Radio Stoke: "I've known about the financial situation at the club since I came here.

"I can't stop people picking up the phone because actions have to be taken with the budget in mind."
