Port Vale manager Martin Foyle has appointed former Vale Park legend Dean Glover as his new assistant.
Glover will team up with boss Martin Foyle once again
Foyle was made manager on Friday and Vale won 1-0 against Oldham on Saturday, and Glover is delighted to be back on his old stomping ground.
"Im obviously pleased that Martin got the position and hopefully we can get off to the right start," said Glover.
"I didn't take much persuading. Having been here for fourteen years prior, it's nice to come back."
He added: "Let's just hope we can carry the good work on.
"I am looking forward to the challenge and it's something we have always wanted to do.
"Both of us were in charge of the youth set-up and both of us itched to have a go at a higher level and thankfully it's come our way," he told the club's official website.
Foyle was equally delighted to have Glover on board.
"Dean has been a good friend over the years since I've been here as a player, said Foyle.
"We have built a good rapport together - we understand each other mentally and tactically, so I think it is a good appointment for Port Vale."
