George Pilkington has become Port Vale's second new signing of the summer after completing a move from Everton.
Pilkington is looking forward to the challenge at Vale
The 21-year-old defender can play anywhere across the back and has signed a one-year contract.
He will join fellow new arrival, Andreas Lipa, when the players report back for pre-season training.
He told BBC Radio Stoke: "I can't wait to get started and this is a real chance to prove myself in the league.
"I've enjoyed my time at Goodison but it's time for me to move on."
Vale boss Brian Horton added: "We believe we've signed a player who is coming here to make a go of it, and his fresh approach will hopefully rub off on others."
