Port Vale boss Brian Horton has swooped to sign Everton defender Peter Clarke on a month's loan.
Clarke has already played 16 games in Division Two this season during a successful loan spell with Blackpool.
However, the 21-year-old has made just one appearance for Everton since returning to Goodison Park and has been allowed to move again to play first-team football.
Horton said: "I am delighted to have got Peter here for the next month.
"I feel he can be a useful addition to our squad," Horton told his club's website.
Clarke started five Premiership games last season and recently signed a new contract at Everton.
