Double boost for Horton
Port Vale manager Brian Horton is hopeful of a double boost as his side look to pull away from the Division Two danger zone.

Winger Ian Armstrong could be fit enough for some involvement in the trip to Tranmere.

Defender Michael Walsh is also making further steps on the road to recovery after surgery.

Horton told Port Vale's official website: "Ian needs a full week's training now before I can throw him into a game.

"But he could be ready for the tip to Tranmere.

"Walshy is stepping up a bit now.

"He is still a bit sore where he has had the operation, but he is running now.

"It will be a bonus to get him back."
