Webber joins Vale on loan
Manchester United youngster Danny Webber has joined Port Vale on a month's loan.

Webber will fill the void left by the return of Chris Killen to Manchester City, who had scored six times in eight games.

"Ian Armstrong is injured at the moment so I've only got two strikers," said Port Vale manager Brian Horton.

"Alex Ferguson has done me a favour."

The 19-year-old Webber has an impressive goal-scoring record at youth level and Horton is hoping that he can make the step up to Second Division level.

"Killen did it. It's nice when you see people like him develop. They get confidence from playing League football," added Horton.

Meanwhile Port Vale have completed the signing of Sean McClare on a free transfer from First Division Barnsley
