Hardy transfer-listed
Port Vale defender Phil Hardy has been put on the transfer list following talks with boss Brian Horton.

The 28-year-old joined Vale in the summer from Wrexham after 12 years with the Welsh club, but has failed to hold down a regular first-team place.

Hardy's name will now be offered to other clubs.

"Phil has found the wing-back role difficult and I have other options," Horton told the club's website.

"He doesn't want to be playing reserve-team football at this stage of his career, so we will circulate his name and see what happens."
