Dunford set to leave Argyle role

Plymouth Argyle

Championship side Plymouth Argyle have announced that chief executive Michael Dunford will step down from the role at the end of July.

The club have also said that due to internal restructuring there will no longer be a CEO.

Dunford joined the Pilgrims in January 2005 from Everton, where he was chief executive for 10 years.

Argyle were taken over by a Japanese-led consortium on 2 July, with Sir Roy Gardner now chairman.
