Plymouth win opener against Truro

Plymouth Argyle

Plymouth got their pre-season campaign off to a winning start as they beat Truro City 2-0 at Treyew Road on Monday in both teams' first warm-up game.

Jason Puncheon and Ashley Barnes were on target for the Pilgrims as manager Paul Sturrock gave the majority of his squad a taste of the action.

Truro City, meanwhile, gave debuts to their three new signings.

Former Exeter City players Marcio dos Santos Gaia, Les Afful and Danny Clay were all in action.
