Plymouth end interest in Saumel

Saumel has spent his entire career playing for Sturm Graz

Plymouth Argyle have given up on trying to sign Austrian international midfielder Jurgen Saumel.

The 23-year-old, who featured in all of Austria's games at Euro 2008, visited the club earlier this month.

"He has preferred to leave his options open," Greens manager Paul Sturrock told the club website.

"He feels he wants to leave it a month and look at the market and see if there's anything out there that would enchant him. We move on."

Saumel is a free agent having left the club he joined as an apprentice, Sturm Graz, at the end of last season.
