New role for Tall
David Tall is stepping down as Plymouth Argyle's chief executive on 30 June, the club have announced.

However, he will take up the new position of strategic and development officer with the Home Park outfit on 1 August.

Tall said: "I am delighted to have the opportunity to continue working at the club."

Pilgrims chairman Paul Stapleton told the club's official website: "David wanted to step down because it is a 24 hours, seven-days-a-week role - not quite what he had in mind when he left the Royal Navy.

"But David has done a marvellous job at the club and we are delighted that he is staying with us in a new position.

"It is primarily about developing the club's new partnerships and it is expected he will work three days a week."

Argyle say they will launch their search for a new chief executive in "due course".
