Peterhead land defender Strachan

Ryan Strachan
Strachan turned out for Celtic's Under 19s last season

Peterhead have signed up teenage defender Ryan Strachan.

The 18-year-old centre-half joins the Second Division club after spells with Aberdeen and Celtic.

Strachan was released by the Dons this time last year and spent a season with Celtic before making his return to the north east.

At the time of his Pittodrie departure, the former Scotland youth international was linked with Dundee United, Motherwell and Inverness Caley Thistle.
