Montrose have completed the signing of central defender Neil Stephen from Peterhead for a nominal fee.
Neil Stephen spent less than a year with Peterhead
The 22-year-old left Montrose in January after making 55 appearances for the Third Division outfit.
Stephen played three times for Peterhead last season but had the last of his five outings for the Second Division club this season in September.
Meanwhile, Montrose have released Congo defender Kangana Lord Ndiwa and midfielder Danny Campbell.
Both joined on amateur contracts in November, making their debuts in the Scottish Cup first-round defeat by Highland League Deveronvale.
But they are now seeking clubs closer to their homes in England.
The 21-year-old Campbell, previously of Stockport County, West Brom and Ashton United, was taken off at half-time against the Highland League leaders.
Ndiwa, a 22-year-old who had spells with Rochdale, Bolton Wanderers, Oldham Athletic and Worthing before playing in Slovenia last season, turned out once more for Montrose, against East Fife the following Saturday.
