Rowe aims for new Peterborough start under Jim Gannon

Peterborough United midfielder Tommy Rowe says he is aiming to make a fresh start under new boss Jim Gannon.

The 21-year-old, who played under Gannon at Stockport, moved to London Road in July but has so far managed just eight starts in the Championship.

"I can't speak for all the players, but he's given me a new lease of life," Rowe told BBC Radio Cambridgeshire.

"I know I'm raring to go, even if it's just from the bench. I'm looking forward to QPR on Saturday."

Rowe was signed by then Posh manager Darren Ferguson, making 14 first-team appearances before Ferguson left the club in November.

He then managed just three game under next boss Mark Cooper, who was replaced by Gannon on Monday with United lying bottom of the Championship, 11 points from safety.

"I think the lads are happier with the way Jim Gannon wants to play, so if we can do that we'll be buzzing again," Rowe added.

"We need to at least start fighting to stay up. It's a tall order, but I think we are capable of doing it."
