Peterborough United have signed Gillingham midfielder Andrew Crofts on loan with a view to a permanent move.
The 24-year-old has not made a league appearance for the League Two side since being transfer listed in October.
Crofts started his career at Gillingham as a trainee and has 12 full international caps for Wales.
Posh manager Darren Ferguson told BBC Radio Cambridgeshire: "We needed to bring in a midfield player as cover as we've got a lot of games coming up."

Peterborough will not have to pay a fee if they sign Crofts permanently when his loan spell ends in January.
Crofts will compete with Charlie Lee, Dean Keates and Paul Coutts for a first team place with Micah Hyde set for a move away from London Road.
"We've had a few phone calls, nothing concrete, but it's important for Micah to be out playing football at his age," said Ferguson.
