Peterborough United striker Danny Crow has said he has not been given a fair chance to prove himself this season.

Crow went to Notts County on loan in October and has been told this week by Peterborough boss Darren Ferguson that he was "surplus to requirements".

Crow told BBC Radio Cambridgeshire: "I've always been happy at Peterborough and I'm disappointed I didn't play a major part in them getting promotion.

"I've been told I haven't got a future there and it's hard to take in."

Crow said he was disappointed not to build on what he thought was a positive start to the season at London Road.

I've got to think about myself and my family, it's not easy just to move away

"I was there at the start of the season and I managed to get a couple of goals and I got a couple of starts and I though I was back in there.

"All of a sudden I was sent out on loan to Notts County and I don't know what the reason for that was.

"It was quite annoying and frustrating for myself."

The 22-year-old said he would take his time finding a new club.

"Peterborough have told me they want me to go and I think they want me out of the door as quickly as possible," he said.

"But I've got to think about myself and my family, it's not easy just to move away.

"The season's just finished and I'm already getting told to go here and there," he added.

"All I want to do it relax and talk about things with my agent and family and then whatever arises does."
