Taylor to add spice to Posh
Former England caretaker coach Peter Taylor is to assist Peterborough boss Barry Fry on a non-contract basis.

Posh have suffered five consecutive defeats and Taylor has agreed to lend his coaching skills to help turn around the club's poor form.

"Peterborough are delighted that Barry Fry has been able to facilitate his personal friend Peter Taylor into joining the club on a short-term, no-strings-attached basis.

"He will give the training and coaching staff and players a boost," said chief executive Geoff Davey in a statement on the club's official website.

"I want to underline that there is absolutely no significance whatsoever about Peter Taylor's arrival, other than a personal favour to Barry Fry and Peterborough.

"We are most appreciative that a man of such calibre and someone in such demand should see fit to spend some time with us.

"We hope his presence will produce the spark that is clearly necessary to turn what have been some decent performances into match-winning and saving results."
