Partick Thistle have signed midfielder Kevin McKinlay from Ross County for a nominal fee.
Kevin McKinlay has not played for Ross County this season
The 21-year-old, a product of Chelsea's youth academy, had spent nearly three years at Victoria Park but had not played yet for new boss Dick Campbell.
Thistle manager Ian McCall told BBC Sport: "I think there were a couple of SPL sides looking at him.
"He is certainly a boy who is capable of playing at a higher level and hopefully it is with us."
The left-sided McKinlay is likely to make his debut at some stage of Saturday's First Division game against Clyde.
Meanwhile, 23-year-old Thistle defender Scott Boyd is in signing talks with County.
Boyd was a regular starter under Campbell at Firhill last season after arriving from Livingston.
But he has not played for Thistle yet this season.
McCall says he is in talks with two unnamed SPL strikers and is hopeful that the signing of once could be completed by the weekend.
