Partick Thistle have signed Australian defender Simon Storey after he impressed as a trialist.
Simon Storey helped Melbourne win the A-League grand final
The 25-year-old has been given until December to win himself a longer-term contract with the Division One club.
Storey, who is equally comfortable at right or left full-back, began his career with Springvale City.
He spent three seasons with Green Gully before heading on to South Melbourne then helping Melbourne Victory win the A-League championship.
Thistle manager Ian McCall had earlier said that he was still four players short of the squad he wants for the season ahead at Firhill.
McCall is looking for a centre-half, a midfielder and two strikers as he aims to consolidate the club's position in the First Division.
He said a mid-table finish would be regarded as a moderate success.
However, he also believes that the First Division title is still a realistic goal for next season.
