Oxford season ticket sales soar

Thomas has been delighted with the response from Oxford supporters

Oxford United have sold over 3,000 season tickets for next season so far.

United have been the best supported team in the Blue Square Premier for their three seasons in the division.

"We are tallying things up after the fun day and we should have over 3,000 which is fantastic at this level," chairman Kelvin Thomas told BBC Oxford.

"There are more people in the wings and there are more people waiting. I think if we get a few wins under our belt we will see those numbers go even higher."
