Green had a loan spell at Oxford before leaving Cardiff for Torquay

Striker Matt Green accepts he is not guaranteed a place in Oxford United's starting line-up this season.

The 22-year-old rejoined United in a year-long loan from Torquay last month, and says the quality in the squad means players will have to prove their worth.

"There is going to be plenty of competition," he told BBC Oxford.

"Nobody is going to walk into the team now. You are going to have to prove yourself to the players and the gaffer and everyone else."
