Oxford may consider Beavon move

Beavon has also been linked to Bournemouth and Cambridge

Oxford United boss Chris Wilder has refused to rule out a move for in-form Weymouth striker Stuart Beavon.

The 24-year-old former Didcot Town forward, who has scored 15 goals this season, has said he is open minded about his future.

"Stuart Beavon is one that has been punted at us and is one we have talked about," Wilder told BBC Oxford.

"There has been confusion about the situation at his club and we have kept our eye on the situation."

Wilder, who was taking part in a phone-in on BBC Oxford's drivetime show added: "It has to fit in financially as well."

Beavon signed for Weymouth from Didcot in January 2007.
