Damien Batt played his last game for Grays against Burton a week ago
Grays Athletic defender Damien Batt has become Oxford United's latest recruit at the Kassam Stadium.
The 24-year-old, who played league football in a promotion-winning Barnet side, has also had spells at Norwich, Dagenham & Redbridge and Stevenage.
"It's the highlight of my season to be honest," Batt told BBC Oxford.
"It has been an up and down season to be honest. Under Grays it was going ok, I was playing well and I think this is the result of that."
A right-sided player who can also play on the wing, Batt has signed until the end of the current campaign.
Batt has been included in the squad for Oxford United's Blue Square Premier game at Crawley on Saturday.
Batt has played 10 league games for Grays since signing on non-contract terms in November, including a 2-0 victory over Oxford in only his second game.
