Sappleton hopes for extended stay

On-loan Oxford United striker Ricky Sappleton is hoping his time with the U's is extended if it continues the way it has started.

The 19-year-old Leicester man scored a goal and assisted another on his United debut in the 2-0 win over Salisbury and says he is settling in quickly.

"I am just here for a month at the moment, and I am going to enjoy it," Sappleton told BBC Oxford.

"Hopefully if the gaffer wants me to stay a bit longer then I'll stay."
