Oxford United have confirmed pre-season friendlies against Manchester United and Portsmouth.

The fixture against a Manchester United XI will take place at the Kassam Stadium on 26 July.

FA Cup winners Portsmouth are expected to send a full-strength squad for a game on 4 August.

The match will see a reunion of Pompey boss Harry Redknapp and Oxford director Jim Smith, who worked as his assistant at Fratton Park.

Smith has been instrumental in arranging both matches.

Pre-season programme: Tuesday, 8 July: Oxford City (a) 1945 BST. Saturday, 12 July: Brackley Town (a) 1500 BST. Tuesday, 15 July: Banbury United (a) 1945 BST. Saturday, 19th July: Maidenhead United (a). Tuesday, 22 July: Bath City (a) 1945 BST. Saturday, 26 July: Manchester United 1500 BST. Tuesday, 29 July: Wycombe Wanderers (h) 1945. Thursday, 31 July: Milton United (a) 1930 BST. Saturday, 2 August: Cheltenham Town (h) 1500 BST. Monday, 4th August: Portsmouth (h).
