Goalkeeping coach Alan Hodgkinson says Oxford United fans deserve success.
He said: "When I worked in Scotland it was clear to me Rangers and Celtic, because of the amount of fans, were keeping many of the other clubs going.
"It is similar with Oxford in the Conference," Hodgkinson told BBC Oxford. "The fans are wonderful."
Oxford United put in an impressive run towards the end of the season and Hodgkinson says the supporters deserve to see more of that form.
Hodgkinson has also acknowledged that United need a second goalkeeper to challenge Billy Turley next season.
"Billy has kept more clean sheets than anyone else in the Conference this season, but he knows he needs competition. Every player does he every position," he said.
"It is something I will be working on with the other staff over the summer."
