Oxford United have signed Eastbourne Borough striker Yemi Odubade for an initial fee of £15,000.
The 21-year-old has signed an 18-month contract, and the fee could rise to £25,000 depending on appearances.
"It's my second chance to be a professional footballer," the ex-Yeovil player told Oxford's website.
"In Conference South, you aren't training every day, so your fitness levels aren't as high. But I will get fitter as time goes by."
Odubade had impressed U's boss Brian Talbot when the sides met in the FA Cup earlier this season.
