Mooney drops down a division to ply his trade for United
Oxford United have signed Tommy Mooney from Swindon, reports BBC Radio Oxford.

Mooney, who joined the Robins from Birmingham at the start of the 2003 campaign, top scored with 19 goals last term and was player of the season.

United will be the 32-year-old's 10th club in a career that has seen him play at Watford, Stoke, Sheffield United and Derby among others.

Meanwhile, Oxford will host Reading in the first round of the Carling Cup while Swindon travel to Rushden.
